When people ask me what I do for a living, I tell them I help people realize their dream of home ownership.  I love what I do!  Nothing is more rewarding than knowing that I helped someone’s dream become a reality!  Growing up in El Campo, it is a blessed feeling to give back to my community locally.  I have also been blessed to have made some amazing relationship in other surrounding cities and counties as well.  I have such a passion for helping others, and to be able to do this with one of a person’s biggest life choices, I do not take that for granted.

I am currently a Senior Vice President, specializing in Mortgage and Commercial Lending, for The First State Bank. I am an alumni of The University of Houston-Victoria, where I received my Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. I returned to my hometown of El Campo after graduation and quickly became involved in the local community, serving on the El Campo Chamber Board of Directors as Past-President. I currently serve with the Pilot Club of El Campo, and my local sorority, Beta Theta Omega. I am involved with the American Bankers Association, as well as the Texas Bankers Association, where I serve on the TBA Bank Leadership Council; Financial Women In Texas, where I serve as the local chapter’s Vice President, Greater Houston Association of Mortgage Professionals; Women’s Inclusive Mortgage Industry Network (WIMIN); The Victoria Association of Builders and Contractors; as well as many other groups and organizations.

I have been in banking for 26 years, starting as a part-time high school teller. I have been in lending for over 18 years and love helping others realize their dream of home and business ownership.

As a wife and mother of two active sons, I enjoy spending time at the baseball park, where my youngest son plays year-round select baseball, as well as football, basketball, track, and more; watching my older son under those Friday Night Lights during his band halftime performance. I also enjoy traveling; attending concerts; reading; and spending quality time with family and friends.
